Our location is a real advantage! Our camp site is right at the heart of the loveliest holiday region in South Tyrol. Never heard of the small apple-growing village of Gargazon? Well, that’s because it is something of an insider's tip! The name KOMODO comes from the Italian word “comodo” (comfortable, convenient) and signifies that everything is comfy, well-kept and homely here.
And because here we have long bike rides, walks, mountain hikes, swimming, shopping trips and skiing adventures right outside our camper van doors.
Our KOMODO camp site in Gargazon has 60 state-of-the-art pitches and many attractive added benefits: from free wireless internet to a barbecue area, the chance to enjoy some art, and a herb garden. Our site is surrounded by orchards for as far as the eye can see and by the picturesque mountain scenery of the Etsch Valley. It’s the perfect base for new daily holiday adventures, 300 days a year.
Right from the start we were keen to be a bit more than “just” a camp site. That’s why we have also created space for “understandable” art. For colourful wild flowers and a guest herb garden, where both the bees and our guests can help themselves. For honest, homemade products and sustainable events – with none of the hype, but instead people-friendly and back to nature. We are sure we have succeeded in this.
A claret Fiat Ritmo, with a turquoise sailing boat on the roof and towing a caravan. This is how our family toured the most popular camp sites in Bella Italia in the 1980s. Those were the days! Back then, everything was more spontaneous, simple, slower. This “Komodo feeling” is what we want to keep alive in our home village of Gargazon. Alongside our traditional fruit farm and café, our latest passion project is KOMODO Camping – your natural, sustainable and family-run camp site in South Tyrol.
A very warm welcome!
